Today is our last day in Jhenaidah before going to Dhaka tomorrow and then home to Sweden on Monday. Soon we will go on a final motorcycle ride around Jhenaidah Town and along Jessore Road, which we have traveled along to almost every field visit. That’s why I think it is fitting to end with the poem September on Jessore Road which Allen Ginsberg wrote after having visited West Bengal refugee camps during the 1971 Liberation War.
I definitely recommend also looking at the lyrics!
